the glossary…
half-breed: a derogatory term for someone who is half human, half magical creature. Examples would include persons who are offspring of human-magical creature relationships such as Hagrid (half giant on his mother’s side, half human) or magical creatures who appear human such as centaurs (human torso and a horse’s or pony’s body). This, of course, raises the question–is there really a difference between wizards and magical creatures if such persons exist successfully?
inferi: a) ZOMBIEEEEES!!
muggle: a) a human who does not use nor has knowledge of magic. b) you (unless you’ve been hiding a massive secret from us, your friends. you should be ashamed of yourself). note: muggle and squib are not interchangeable terms.
squib: a person born of wizards without magical ability, despite attempts to do otherwise (e.g. Mr. Argus Filch’s attempts with Kwikspell, a remedial correspondence course to assist adult wizards on brushing up their magic skills).
